You Already Know What You Need a Blue Laser For?

Then you should inform yourself about the technical key data of the new LDMblue from Laserline. In the familiar and compact 19" design of the LDM series, for the first time a blue laser beam appears in a Laserline high-power diode laser. 450 nm wavelength and up to 2000 W laser power (CW) open up new possibilities for high-quality material processing of highly reflective metals in industrial series production.

Why a Blue Laser for Material Processing?

With previously available industrial laser beam sources, increased effort was required to process highly reflective metals such as copper satisfactorily in series production. Blue laser light opens up new opportunities because above all copper and gold absorb the blue light spectrum seven to twenty times better compared to laser radiation in the infrared range.

Application Opportunities in the Industry

In many industrial applications, infrared lasers have achieved excellent results. However, for the processing of nonferrous metals, especially copper, the infrared beam is less suitable.  Especially in the field of regenerative energies and alternative drives, there is a new potential for the use of blue lasers in production. The availability of the blue laser beam opens new application possibilities. Not only for the laser processing of nonferrous metals like copper or gold, but also for the jointing of different metals.
