Clear Connection Cleaners
PORTABILITY OF TODAY’S ELECTRONIC DEVICES DEMANDS SPECIAL CLEANING CARE ACCORDING TO LASERLINE EXPERTS
New product cleans dust, dirt from ports, increases productivity of equipment
NEW YORK, New York, August 15, 2005 - Digital cameras, laptop computers,
iPods, wireless hand-helds, cell phones, electronic organizers – we unplug and plug in
myriad electronic devices multiple times a day, taking them with us wherever we go. And
whether it’s dirt from our hands, lint from a pocket, dust or debris from a purse, backpack
or briefcase, sand from the beach or crumbs from the car, the ports on your portables get
dirty and need periodic cleaning. And that’s where Clear Connections™ from
LASERLine, Inc. comes in.
“We are all good about cleaning our PC screens, charging our batteries, and
cleaning our CD’s and DVD’s, but we forget about the ports on all these devices,”
explained Jack Graham, vice president of Sales for LASERline. “And dirty connections
in memory card slots can affect the performance of your equipment as well as your read
and write speeds.
“Clear Connections™ pocket PC contact cleaner is an easy and convenient ‘kit’
that uses patented cleaning materials custom-fit for each type of memory slot and cleans
more effectively than anything else on the market,” Graham continued. “Each month, just
plug the corresponding cleaning card into your device’s card reader and remove it. That’s
it. We also include a small brush to brush away dust and a cleaning cloth for screens.”
Clear Connections’ compact, pocket knife-type styling makes it convenient to
keep in a briefcase, purse or computer bag. Its one-piece design also makes it easy to
pack in a travel bag for use when traveling. Using it once a month can eliminate
performance problems like poor connections, blank screens, screen flashes, slow
read/write speeds, corrupted data and undetected memory card errors.
The company is planning two additional versions of the product: A digital camera
version will be released in late 2005 and a smaller version specifically for gaming devices
and cell phones is planned for release in 2006.
Care tips for your equipment
LASERline recommends keeping electronic devices and their contacts away from
moisture and dirt. Moisture and dirt will build up a thin coating on contacts over a period
of time, which will harden and cause performance or permanent damage to your devise.
Also, visually inspect the card and the opening slot for any dirt before use. Clean ports
once monthly.
